[SMM National Sodium Pyroantimonate February Production Assessment] According to SMM assessment, the production of first-grade sodium pyroantimonate in China is expected to decrease significantly by approximately 23.5% MoM in February 2025.

According to SMM's assessment, China's sodium pyroantimonate Grade 1 production in February 2025 is expected to drop significantly by approximately 23.5% MoM. Despite consecutive sharp declines, many market participants consider this a normal phenomenon, as the Chinese New Year holiday at the end of February led to maintenance or temporary shutdowns in the first half of the month for many producers. Additionally, due to the current price suppression caused by limited downstream glass orders, many sodium pyroantimonate producers showed little interest in signing orders with glass manufacturers. However, some producers indicated that production might slightly recover in March. Regarding other detailed data, among the 11 surveyed producers by SMM, 2 were in a shutdown or commissioning state in February, while the production of other sodium pyroantimonate producers mostly saw significant reductions, with almost no producers reporting an increase in production. This resulted in another sharp decline in overall production. Market participants predict that the national sodium pyroantimonate production in March is unlikely to increase significantly compared to February, with a higher likelihood of remaining flat or continuing to decline slightly.

Note: Since July 2023, SMM has been publishing the assessed national sodium pyroantimonate production. Benefiting from SMM's high coverage rate in the antimony industry, SMM's survey includes 11 sodium pyroantimonate producers across 5 provinces nationwide, with a total sample capacity exceeding 75,000 mt and a total capacity coverage rate as high as 99%.
